The Maintainers is a global research and practice network that is focused on advancing maintenance, repair, and care. We convene interdisciplinary change-makers, researchers, practitioners, and every-day people who center maintenance, repair, and care and the myriad forms of labor, expertise, and infrastructure that sustain our human built world.

Engage with The Maintainers

We work with the Maintainers community in a range of ways. We host monthly maintenance accountability sessions, network meet-ups to share knowledge, and more. We love spotlighting Maintainers, sharing interviews and other maintenance conversations on our blog. You can join our community channels to learn about or share maintenance, repair and care happenings — think of it as your local grocery store’s bulletin board. We also love to meet up with maintenance practitioners, researchers, and community organizers for a virtual coffee chat to discuss how our projects align, share strategies, meta-maintenance and more. Choose from the menu below to find out more.
